Unless marked by the park service, most of the National Seashore is open to visitors. However, some areas are sensitive by nature and are prohibited for exploration. These areas include the following: areas where protected species are nesting, areas that are fragile and may be degraded by frequent visitors, areas where unusual archaeological resources may be found or damaged by foot traffic.
